Putin speaks on the death of Wagner chief Prigozhin’s jet crash

 The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin has reacted to the death of former Russian warlord, Yevgeny Prigozhin who died on Wednesday in a jet crash barely two months after his reported mutiny against Vladimir Putin.

 It is being speculated that president Putin plotted the death of the Wagner leader who in the month of June, revolted against him; however, in his first public statement on the death of the former Russian warlord, Putin stated that an independent investigation is ongoing on the matter. He urged the public to wait pending the conclusion of the investigation. 

However,  he described the late Russian warlord as a "talented person ". 

“The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia has reported to me about this, as is correct,” Putin said

 “They launched an investigation into this incident and it will be carried out in full and reach a conclusion. Let’s see what the investigators say.”
