Peter Okoye"Mr P" Threatens to Sue Access and Polaris Bank

 One half of the P-Square music duo, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, has put up a post on Twitter calling out two banks for allowing fraudsters rip people of their hard earned money using his name. The singer who specifically lashed out at Access Bank and Polaris Bank, threatened to sue both banks while insinuating that the banks were in collaboration with these impersonators. He tagged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to beware of his intention to sue the two commercial banks for damages.

In his post, Peter Okoye wondered why Polaris Bank permitted an individual to open an account with the name "Peter PSquare Okoye" without any valid means of identification. He also queried Access Bank for allowing a customer open an account with the name "Peter Okoye PSquare" without verification. Peter Okoye further lamented that dubious individuals were now in the habit of scamming innocent people with his name, thereby causing a dent on his reputation. The musician also provided screenshot of a POS transaction done to a Polaris account with the account name "Peter PSquare Okoye".
