The Bayelsa State Council of The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has put up a press release harshly criticizing the now viral invitation card printed by a certain Miss James Joy inviting guests to her planned graduation ceremony after receiving training as "a professional nurse" under the supervision of an alleged medical practitioner named Dr Keziah, the CEO of Keziah Medical Chemist. In the press release, the association assured that in its determination to end the menace of quackery in Bayelsa state, it has commenced investigation and will ensure that all quacks and self-acclaimed doctors will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

In the press release signed by Fii Tornubari Samuel, Press Secretary of the association, the Bayelsa State Council of the NANNM implored private hospitals, medical practitioners and patent medicine stores(chemists) to desist from deceiving and extorting young men and women in the guise of training them as professional nurses and midwives. The association warned that any medical practitioner, private hospital or patent store found engaging in this illicit mode of training, will be made to face the severe consequences of their illegal actions and dealings.
