A Nigerian doctor resident in Jos and identified as Gideon Satmak, has passed away barely six weeks after his wedding ceremony which took place on 17th June 2023 in Jos, Plateau state. According to reports from close friends and relatives, the newly wed died in a neighbour's apartment after he was poisoned at the office. The deceased doctor who was officially inducted into the medical profession December 2022 reportedly found his way to his neighbour's apartment at 4:00am on the morning on Wednesday August 2, where he had eventually given up the ghost.

Friends and acquaintances who put up posts announcing Dr Gideon Satmak's demise claim that the alleged neighbour hid the doctor's dead body in the apartment until about 4:00pm of the same day. They have also claimed that the reason the doctor made his way to the aforementioned apartment at such an odd hour, remains a mystery. A certain Bello Lukman who posted on Facebook that he had anchored the wedding reception of Dr Satmak and his wife Dinah, revealed that the doctor had just returned from his shift at the Jos University Teaching Hospital when he mysteriously made his way to the mystery neighbour's apartment.
