Kano Government To Spend N854 Million For Mass Wedding

 The government of Kano State has approved the sumof N854 million for the Auren Zaurawa Mass Wedding Initiative.

The mass wedding is to help vulnerable persons and not well to do have the joy of marital bliss.

 The commandant of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, had earlier made it known that a mass wedding was in the offing for 1,020 couples that are interested across the state.

According to him, the mass wedding is to help singles who cannot afford to pay for marital expenses due to hardships.

 Daurawa explained that 20 couples will be selected from each of the 44 LGAs, while adding that the board will select the remaining 120 couples.
