"His Parents Agreed to the Wedding" Former Aviation Minister Addresses Critics of Lloyd Ekweremadu's Wedding

Following heavy criticism from some netizens and a lengthy post by APC loyalist and governor Sanwo-Olu's aide, Joe Igbokwe, slamming Lloyd Ekweremadu on his "elaborate" wedding which took place on Saturday 19th August, former aviation minister Osita Chidoka, has responded to this criticism.  The former aviation minister wrote that plans for the wedding had been in progress and they had been getting ready to go to the bride's traditional home in Ihiala before former senate president Ike Ekweremadu was arrested  and imprisoned in the UK alongside his wife Beatrice and doctor Obinna Obeta on organ trafficking charges.

Osita Chidoka affirmed that the older Ekweremadus had given full consent for their son's wedding to hold in their absence.  The former aviation minister praised Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu junior for holding his family together despite the obvious absence of their father. While stating that the wedding was nowhere near what it would have been had the elder Ekweremadus been in attendance, Osita Chidoka also explained that political figures and dignitaries attended the wedding as a show of solidarity to the incarcerated former senate president.
