Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai appears to have turned against president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
Former governor El-rufai trended a few weeks ago following the Senate refusal to confirm him for a ministerial appointment. According to report, the office of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu had refused to grant El-rufai required security clearance. His nomination by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu was as a result, unconfirmed by the Nigeria's senate.
Consequently, El-rufai who is popular for his pro-North and Islam demeanor, in a tweet through his Twitter handle, appealed to the leadership of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to reconsider its proposed military intervention in Niger. He argued that such a military exercise amounts to a brother waging war against fellow brother.

“As ECOWAS beats the drums of war, I recall the 1970s rock classic by Dire Straits – ‘Brothers in Arms’, because a war within our subregion is a war between brothers”, he tweeted.
