Cooking Gas Price Set to Skyrocket Nationwide

President of the Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers, Olatunbosun Oladapo, has asked as Nigerians to  brace themselves for the imminent price hike in gas, starting next week. Mr Oladapo cited rising international prices, high tax rates and prices of vessels, forex scarcity, and naira devaluation as some of the reasons for the intending price review. He also revealed that reforms, which have significantly stoked the cost of goods and services, have added to rising international prices, high tax rates, and prices of vessels – leaving marketers with no other option than to conduct an upward review of cooking gas prices. News of this imminent increase comes barely three weeks after Nigerians expressed pleasure at fallen gas prices.
