Nigeria's President, Bola Tinubu has appointed Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for 90-days, starting from August 24, 2023, after which, she will begin a full term of four years as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO, beginning on November 24, 2023.
Coker-Odusote will be replacing the current DG of NIMC Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, who has been directed by the President to commence a 90-day pre-retirement leave with effect from August 24, 2023, before his eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.

The appointment was made known in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Ajuri Ngelale.
The statement noted that the appointment takes immediate effect.
Coker-Odusote had previously served as Special Adviser on Technology to President Bola Tinubu when he held sway as the Governor of Lagos State.
Coker-Odusote had previously worked in the United Kingdom and Nigeria with 15 years experience across technology, real estate/construction, oil and gas, finance, media and advertising industries.
