Founder and lead Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church located in Ilupeju Lagos, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has passed away. According to a statement released by the church, the clergyman died on Monday 7th August 2023 In the United States of America. The church wrote: The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, our Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA. We are in total submission to you LORD!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of greater leader!!!”

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was married to popular televangelist and author, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, who died in the Sosoliso plane crash of 10 December 2005. Their marriage lasted 21 years and 5 years after he became a widower, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya got married again to Rosemary Simangele Zulu from South Africa. His second wife, South African motivational speaker Rosemary Simangele popularly referred to as Pastor Nomthi, died from cancer in November 2021 at the age of 47. The now deceased 67 year old Pastor Odukoya was survived by 5 children, one of whom is actor and gospel singer, Jimmy Odukoya.
