Popular internet troll Daniel Regha has penned his thoughts on the recent engagement in different forms, of Hilda Baci's original idea of Cook-a-thon. The internet troll observed that people from the south-west, the Yoruba people to be specific, are trying to hard to overthrow Hilda's record. Daniel Regha further noted that the incessant attempts at nonstop cooking in order to break Hilda's newly received award, doesn't look good for the south-west region. He stated that even though no one is against healthy competition, it would have resulted in a huge backlash if the Igbos had been the ones repeatedly trying to overthrow Hilda's Guinness World Records recognition as titleholder for the Individual with The Longest Cooking Time.

In the 7 weeks since Hilda Baci who hails from Akwa Ibom State, achieved the novel feat of cooking nonstop for a recognised period of 98 hours by the Guinness World Records, two chefs from Ekiti and Ondo states have respectively attempted to break Hilda's record by cooking for 120 and 150 hours each. These cook-a-thon attempts by Chefs Dammy Adeparausi of Ekiti state and Adeola Adeyeye from Ondo state have been despite the fact that The Guinness World Records has a rule that emphatically states that, a recognised record cannot be broken until one year after that record has been made or documented. Chef Dammy of Ekiti as well as Chef Adeola of Ondo have both failed to adhere to this instruction in the course of their respective "Cook-a-thons".
