Nigerian comedian and actor Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule better known as Okey Bakassi, has penned a message to whom it may concern on social media. The comedian stated that he's currently not in any position to support anyone financially and urged them to beat with him. He promised to get back to them once he confirms exactly where the government is taking us to economically. Okey Bakassi further advised anyone who's going through anything at the moment, to go through it as it's their turn. The comedian affirmed that such persons would survive the ordeal.

Okey Bakassi who hails from Imo state is a stand-up comedian, radio presenter, talkshow host and actor. Okey's first gained attention in the film industry in 1993 when popular movie producer and director Zeb Ejiro, offered him a role on a television network production titled "Fortunes". In 2014, he won the "Best Actor in a Leading Role (Igbo)" category at the 2014 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the film Onye Ozi. He currently hosts a daily comedy show on Lagos Talks 91.3fm called "It's Okay with Okey" alongside other comedians like Acapella, Senator Comedian and Dan de Humorous. Okey Bakassi also hosts a programme called "The Other News" on Channels TV. On April 22 2018, Okey celebrated 25years in the comic industry.
