Five years after the lavish wedding and a series of controversial issues afterwards, former royal couple Prince Harry and his wife, American actress Meghan Markle, are reportedly considering a "trial separation." A report from RadarOnline is claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “taking time apart” and figuring out the next steps in their marriage after a series of career disappointments. Rumours( further claim that the prince and his wife are struggling financially and are having a hard time maintaining their luxurious lifestyle since many of the couple's media deals and engagement fell through. To further deal with the "trial separation", Prince Harry is rumoured to be going on a solo trip to Africa in order to film his Netflix documentary while Meghan is to remain in their Montecito mansion with the children.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first started a romantic relationship in 2016 after they connected on Instagram. Their engagement was announced on 27 November 2017 by Harry's father, Prince( now King) Charles and on 19 May 2018, the marriage ceremony was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. On 6 May 2019, the Duke and Duchess's son, Archie, was born and On 4 June 2021, their daughter, Lilibet, was born. In January 2022, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle generated widespread controversy when they publicly announced their mutual decision to step back from "royal life" and become ordinary citizens by moving to California.
