Teenager Dies from Electrocution in Attempt to Evade Dog Bite

 A 13 year old resident of Makoko area of Yaba Lagos, identified as Taiye Ojo, has died from electrocution at own residence. According to witness reports, the tragedy had occurred while the teenager had be fearfully running from a barking dog in her compound. Taiye had been on her way to the restroom when she became alarmed over the dog's barking and in hysteria, had attempted to run out of the dog's reach.

In the course of fleeing the barking dog, Taiye had accidentally touched the outdoor unit of an air conditioner and this led to her electrocution. She had been rushed to a neighbourhood hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead on arrival. Taiye has been buried according to Islamic rites and the tragic incident reported at the Sabo Police Station.When contacted, the Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident in an interview with the press.
