Two Nigerian music superstars, Simisolo Kosoko and Adekunle Gold tied the knot in 2019 and has seen their marriage blossom into an enviable celebrity marriage.
However, prior to Simi and Adekunle Gold marriage in 2019, there were speculations about her dating popular singer and activist, Folarin Falana better known as Falz.
The duo featured in songs that sparked the rumour that they were having an affair. In her recent interview on MTV Base Simi confirmed that there were speculations about her relationship with Falz then. She however explained that her relationship with Falz then was purely "work relationship". She added that they decided to leverage the rumour about their dating to promote their music collaboration.
According to her, due to the speculation, she produced a song with Falz titled "Soldier" and the song was a success because of the rumour about her dating Falz whom she did the song.

She said, “He [Falz] did a verse on my song, ‘JAMB Question Remix’. And I was like, ‘Ah! Me and this guy, there is a vibe there.’ So, we did ‘Soldier’, and everybody was like, the chemistry is so amazing.
“We never saw that. People bought what we were not selling. And we were like, okay, this is a strategy.
So, we did ‘Chemistry’ the album. People gave us the name and the idea. We never actually came and say, oh, we are dating”
