Sanwo-Olu Gifts LASU's Best Graduating Student 10 Million Naira

 Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu has gifted the Lagos State University's best graduating student of 2023, with the sum of 10 million naira. The student, Aminat Yusuf Imoitesemeh bagged a First Class with a CGPA of 5.00 from the faculty of law. Upon confirmation of Aminat's outstanding result, LASU had initially rewarded Aminat with a sum of 500,000 naira for her academic achievement. The promised sum of 500,000 naira had generated widespread displeasure on social media, as many Nigerians tagged the sum too small for Aminat's outstanding result.

Upon outcry from Nigerians, Governor Sanwo-Olu had stepped in and offered Aminat a personal reward of 10 million naira. The governor who put up a post on social media, stated that he was immensely pleased with Aminat's academic achievement at just 23 years old. He also referred to the law graduate's impressive result as "a testament to her hard work and Lagos state's quality education". Governor Sanwo-Olu further penned that he had in the course of having a one-to-one conversation with the genius, encouraged her to use her voice as champion for vulnerable communities as well as to promote initiatives tailored to their needs.

Congratulations to Aminat Yusuf Imoitesemeh on being a recipient of the governor's goodwill.
