Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Enrique Martin Morales better known as Ricky Martin, has announced his impending divorce from his husband, Swedish painter and artist, Jwan Yosef. The duo announced their separation in a joint statement released on Thursday 6 July 2023. In the soon-to-be ex-couple's words translated from Spanish to English: "We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years. Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other."

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef publicly revealed their relationship in April 2016 and confirmed a secret marriage in January 2018. Ricky and Jwan are co-parents to two young children, daughter Lucia born on 24th December 2018 and son, Renn Martin Yosef born in October 2019. Ricky also has twin sons, Matteo and Valentino who were born in 2008 before his relationship with Jwan. Ricky has stated that he'll continue to raise the twins as a single parent. All four kids shared between Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef were born via surrogates.
