A Toyota Hilux vehicle with registration number EPE 863 XD was on the 5th July in Adamawa State along Ngurore-Mayo Belwa intercepted by Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
After conducting a search of the van, it was discovered that it contained cannabis weighing 408kg neatly wrapped and sealed in 118 cartons of Indomie Noodles on its way to be delivered in Yola, Mubi and Gombe. Two individuals, Kelvin Efe, 51, and Christian Ogaga, 42 who were in the car were arrested.

In a similar incident in the commercial city of Lagos, 89 jumbo bags of skunk weighing a total of 3,842kg being driven by a suspect, Segun Odeyemi was intercepted by very efficient NDLEA operatives on Saturday 1st July in the Eleganza area of Ajah, Lekki.
Another recovery of 25 bags of cannabis which weighed 300.5kg was made on Akure-Ilesa expressway in Osun state on Friday 7th July. The drugs were found in an abandoned Peugeot bus with plate no. AAA 521 SQ hidden in bags of fresh pepper. The occupants had taken off on foot the moment NDLEA officers on patrol were sighted.
A factory in Ajaka Sagamu Ogun state where chapman drinks laced with hard drugs known as skuchies are made was invaded by NDLEA officials on Thursday 6th July. 10kg of cannabis, 1,356 litres of skuchies, 20 litres of codeine, seven deep freezers, a generator set and two gas cylinders were discovered in the factory. A suspect named Adekunle Adekola was arrested.
Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), Chairman of the NDLE was full of praises for the operatives who carried out the various raids throughout the week and encouraged them to continue to work towards making the country free of drug abuse and trafficking.
