Singer and songwriter David Adeleke better known as Davido, has through his charity organisation The David Adeleke Foundation, donated a sum of two hundred and thirty-seven million naira(237000,000) to the less privileged. In a newsletter released by the foundation and signed by the singer, the donation was to orphanages across the country with the funds being successfully disbursed to 424 orphanages and benefitting a total of 13,818 children. The singer via the newsletter assured the public that the David Adeleke Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to uplift and support vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

in November 2022, on the occasion of his 30th birthday, Davido launched a Twitter fundraiser and donated the N250 million realised to orphanages. Davido said at the time that his goal was to make the donation a yearly tradition in celebration of his birthday and to give back to those in need.True to the musician's words and in fulfilment of the 2022 Annual Davido Birthday Gifts to Orphanages, the Davido Charity Foundation for Orphanages has now donated the sum of N237 million to 424 Orphanages and Paroche Reach Out Foundation for the Prevention of Drug Abuse nationwide.
