Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, has been announced highest earner on the social media app, Instagram. The 38 year old footballer who has a total number of 597 million followers on Instagram, making him the user with the highest number of followers, surpassed reality star and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner, to become Instagram's highest paid user due to his massive fan following and partnerships with prominent brands. His growth on Instagram is considered an impressive feat as in 2019, the footballer had ranked third place on the Instagram Rich List. The Instagram Rich List was collated by HopperHQ and is based on how much each user can charge for a single Instagram post.
Cristiano Ronaldo made Instagram's Rich List by earning around £755,000 per sponsored post. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward often promotes the likes of sports website LiveScore, wellness brand Therabody and cryptocurrency exchange Binance on his Instagram account. Cristiano topping the list is his latest huge milestone after he was named the world’s highest-paid athlete by Forbes at the beginning of May 2023, with his annual earnings this year said to top £109million.
