Chichi slams fellow reality TV star Phyna with N100m lawsuit over 'slanderous' allegations on BBNaija reunion

 Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eyes’ finalist, Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebo more known as Chichi has slammed her colleague and winner of the show, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor also known as Phyna with a lawsuit, seeking N100 million in damages for alleged defamatory statements.

Chichi took this action as a fallback of a heated argument that took place at the just concluded BBNaija Reunion, where Phyna inferred that Chichi abandoned her husband and children in Benin City, an action that she claimed resulted in the death of one of her children.

Chichi had during her appearance on the reunion show, vehemently denied being married with children.

Some of Chichi's photos with a man and a baby were being circulated earlier this year, leading to insinuations that it was her nuclear family.

Chichu in her defence stated that the man in question is actually the youngest brother to her dad, expressing her bewildment at people's insinuation that he was her husband. 

Chichi further claimed Phyna strategically used the memory of her deceased parents to gain an advantage and win the show.

Phyna had also alleged that Chichi poisoned her friend in Cyprus due to jealousy, regurgitating these allegations on her Snapchat account.

 Chichi has in response to these allegations filed a lawsuit against Phyna, demanding 100 million Naira in damages.

According to Chichi’s lawyers, the accusation of poisoning is entirely false, malicious, slanderous, and lacking any basis in truth, further contending that Phyna’s statements have had severe consequences for Chichi, resulting in the loss of several endorsement deals and tarnishing her image.
