Buhari's Administration, The Worst Phase Of Corruption In Nigeria - Rev. Fr. Mathew Kukah

Rev. Fr Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, yesterday, said Nigeria witnessed the worst period of corruption during the last administration Of Muhammadu Buhari.

He said this while delivering a lecture which he titled  'The future of constitutional democracy in Nigeria: Imperative of a new constitutional order’ which took place in the premises of Afe Babalola University to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founder of the school Aare Afe Babalola (SAN) of being called to bar in the capital city of Ekiti State, Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Kukah said that though corruption didn't begin under Buhari, it became more rampant under the ex-president’s nose.

“We have seen the worst phase of corruption in Nigeria. Femi Falana, my friend here, will speak about that because he has published a series of articles talking about what happened under the Buhari administration. They were not the ones who caused corruption but I think in the last administration, we saw the ugliest phase of corruption whether in moral terms, financial terms, and other terms,” he said.
