Breaking: A source in Aso Rock Reveals what Ayim Pius Ayim and Oliseh Metuh discussed with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu

 Former national publicity secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Oliseh Metuh and former secretary to the Federal Government, Ayim Pius Ayim raised eyebrows when the duo were received by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Aso Rock yesterday. 

Speculations on social media had it that the duo were shopping for ministerial position in Bola Ahmed Tinubu's cabinet. However, an unnamed source in Aso Rock has disclosed that their visit was for the interest of the Ndi Igbo and not personal interest.

According to the source, the duo seek the intervention of Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the incarceration of former deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremmadu who is serving a ten year jail term in the UK. The source added that Bola Ahmed Tinubu was also appealed to by the duo to free the detained leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Both Oliseh Metuh and Ayim Pius Ayim worked for the presidential victory of Tinubu in their respective states. Oliseh Metuh had quitted his membership to the PDP when Atiku Abubakar won the party's presidential ticket at the expense of a southern candidate. Also, Ayim Pius Ayim openly declared his support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state.
