Breaking: FBI gives date for the release of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's immigration and criminal records in US

Following the public interest in the criminal records of Nigeria's president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the US, the US Department of State and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have disclosed when Tinubu's immigration and criminal records will be released to the public.
Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu attested before the presidential election tribunal that he forfeited 460,000 dollars to the US government in his 1993 drug money forfeiture trial.
The former governor of Lagos has thereafter been accused of drug trafficking, identity theft and forgery. In line with the US freedom of information act, FBI is requested to release Bola Ahmed Tinubu's criminal and immigration records.
In its official response, the FBI declared that due to some "unusual circumstances" that Bola Ahmed Tinubu's immigration and criminal records will be released to the public in January 2026.
