Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been officially charged to court.
The Department of Security Services (DSS) made the announcement on Tuesday through its spokesman Peter Afunanya.
According to Afunanya, the decision to charge Emefiele was in compliance with the order of the Federal Capital Territory High Court.

It would be recalled that Justice Hamza Muazu of the Federal High Court in Abuja today ordered the DSS to release the former central bank governor, Godwin Emefiele of bail within seven days or charge him to court if they have evidence against him.
Nigeria's President, Bola Tinubu had ordered for the suspension Emefiele with the DSS swooping to arrest him afterwards.
