Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has put up a post on her official social media platform declaring abortion a sin against God and man. In light of the news of multiple women claiming to be pregnant for music star David Adeleke better known as Davido and the singer urging these women to "have an abortion", Uche Ogbodo stated that "abortion has been flying in the air since last week" and firmly asked the public to be warned. When asked if getting pregnant and having children was contained in the bible, the actress shut down that line of argument. In her words: "Nah you sabi!"

Uche Ogbodo who is a mum of two, was previously married to footballer Apo Arthur and the union produced a daughter, Mildred Chinagorom, before it went sour. She started a relationship with Bobby Maris, an artiste, a few years after her first marriage ended and they have a daughter, Chimsimdirim Lumina Ugwoegbu, who was born on 9th June, 2021. She is currently expecting her second child with Bobby Maris whom traditionally she married in 2022. Uche Ogbodo has been vocal about her struggles with Urticaria, a skin condition also known as hives.
