Amidst the multiple controversies surrounding Nollywood actor and producer turned "skit maker", Yul Edochie, the actor has been replaced as the face and ambassador of the Eastern beer brand, Life Lager. In a new video released by the beer brand, Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard was showcased as the face of the brand. Even though there's currently no official confirmation from the brand or the actor, many have taken the video to mean that Yul Edochie has been yanked off as face of the brand. Yul and his father Pete Edochie in a highly publicised advertisement in 2022, became the first ambassadors of the hitherto regional Life Lager Beer.

Nigerians have reacted mockingly to the unconfirmed suspicion of Yul Edochie's removal as an ambassador of Life Lager Beer. Many have tagged the numerous controversies surrounding him as a reason for the decision while gleefully stating that he got exactly what he deserved. Yet others have stated that the company's choice of new brand ambassador had nothing to do with Yul Edochie's personal life. They opined that his contract with the company merely expired and but parties mutually decided against a renewal.
