The Exola Tv understands that new Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has revoked a road contract awarded by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
According to report, Governor Fubara has revoked and is at the verge of re-awarding Andoni section of the Ogoni/Opobo/Nkoro/Andoni Unity Road. He explained that the action was necessary following the inability of the contractor responsible for the road construction to meet up with the contract's timeframe.
While speaking to newsmen, the governor expressed his displeasure and disappointment over the unsatisfactory performance of the previous contractor on the Andoni road project despite the cost of the construction being fully paid by the Rivers State government.
He immediately appealed to the Rivers State commissioner for works to initiate modality for revocation of the contract and re-awarding to another more competent contractor.
