Two ex-employees of fast food outlet Chicken Republic popularly known as Happie Boys, have called out their benefactor for abandoning them. The duo were offered full scholarship to Cyprus by philanthropist and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, after they were unceremoniously fired by Chicken Republic for dancing while at the duty posts during work hours. The duo nicknamed Happy Boys by netizens, had worked as doormen at the fastfood outlet until their dismissal.

The Happie Boys took to social media to cry out over their financial constraints in Cyprus. They informed the public that the supposed scholarship by the apostle, had only lasted six months before the General Overseer informed them that he was no longer able to pay their fees as a result of the increasing economic depression in Nigeria. The Happie Boys in their posts on social media, attached messages and voice notes from the Apostle, laying heavy curses upon and bitterly berating them for being ungrateful.
Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere on his part, took to his Facebook page to showcase and narrate instances of other Nigerians whom had been able to achieve personal success after scholarships to Cyprus from the philanthropist. Other students on scholarship under the Apostle's financing, had a few months ago, been publicly asked to defer their admissions and scholarships from Cyprus to neighbouring countries in Africa.
