In a video gradually making the rounds on the internet, an unidentified male has been heard blatantly refusing to pay the 12 bill accrued by his dinner date at a restaurant. In the video, the unidentified male kept chanting that his date "ate food of 12k" while vehemently insisting that she had to pay for it. The anonymous who refused to heed his date's admonition that she only needed to charge her phone in order to pay her bill, kept insisting that she gave up her iPhone until the bill could be sorted. The irate woman had bragged that she could pay a bill of even #50,000 naira while her efforts to get her date to act with decorum proved futile. He instead, kept ranting on her need to settle her 12k bill without his assistance since they'd been going back and forth for 5 hours. During the course of the duo's exchange, a waitress who had keenly observed the scenario, stood behind the woman, patiently awaiting payment while the verbal altercation continued.

Nigerians have given mixed reactions to the video with some referring to the anonymous male as a "broke idiot" who was lamenting over a measly sum of 12k. Yet others have labelled the altercation "a lesson" to all women, urging them to ensure that they're financially able to foot their own bills peradventure a date bails on them as a result of suddenly finding the date "too expensive".
