Veteran Actress "Iya Gbonkan" Receives 4.6 Million Naira Donation from Nigerians

 Veteran Nollywood actress Margaret Olayinka better known as "Iya Gbonkan" has become the recipient of goodwill from generous Nigerians who collectively donated a sum of 4.6 million naira to help her complete a housing project. The crowdfunding comes after a cleric Prophet Gabriel Agbala solicited funds on her behalf via a live Facebook session. The actress had earlier made a video soliciting public support to finish building her house in Osogbo as well as to buy herself a car. Iya Gbonkan showered prayers and praises on the kindhearted citizens who had collectively donated money to help her fulfill her desire.

64 year old Margaret Olayinka is predominantly known for her scary facial expressions in Yoruba films in which she majorly plays the similar role of a mean-spirited witch or sorceress. She gained public attention in the early 1970s when she featured on Pa Yemi Elebu'bon a television series by Ifa Olokun and also in Olori Emere as well as Yekinni Ajileye's Koto Orun. Margaret Adeseye earned herself the nickname "Iya Gbonkan" after she played the role of a wicked mother who fed on her children's blood in the film "Koto Orun" which was released in 1989. The veteran Actress has granted interviews stating how she had endured bad dreams and a near initiation from real witches following her widely acclaimed role in the film "Koto Orun".
