"Stop Spreading False Information; Sanwo-Olu Did not Ask Us to Stop Arresting Motorists" LASTMA Warns Lagosians

Following claims that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has asked the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority(LASTMA) to desist from arresting motorists, the authority has given a press release addressing these claims as false. In the press release, LASTMA referred to the news as false report and the handiwork of mischief makers. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority further indicated in the press release that the false claim of the governor asking the agency to desist from arresting motorists, has repeatedly been in circulation since February 2020 despite persistent efforts by LASTMA to debunk the claim.
