In a rather unusual public display of affection, Nigerian gay rights activist and public speaker Bisi Alimi, has put up a post on his official social media platform teasing his husband. The gay rights activist and HIV advocate, put up a photo of himself and his Caucasian husband, wanting to know if "anyone is looking to swap husband". Bisi Alimi indicated that he was up for the exchange will recounting a dinner table banter with his husband, Anthony. The gay rights activist has shared quite a number of photos with his romantic partner on social media and has frequently shared the story of his self-rediscovery after his HIV Positive diagnosis in the year 2004.

48 year old Bisi Alimi is a gay rights activist, public speaker, blog writer and HIV/LGBT advocate who gained international attention when he became the first Nigerian to come out on television. In 2015, to accelerate social acceptance for LGBT in Nigeria, Bisi Alimi founded the Bisi Alimi Foundation (BAF) registered in England and Wales, but operating in Nigeria as a result of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act 2013 (SSMPA). He is currently the director of BAF and resides in London.
