There were uncontrollable tears from families and loved ones of Malam Usman Buda, a butcher killed by a Sokoto mob over blasphemy as he was finally laid to rest.
Buda was buried on Tuesday, June 27, after a funeral prayer took place at Sheikh Musa Ayuba Luwa Mosque in Mabera, Sokoto South Local Government Area of the state.

It would be recalled that on Sunday, June 25, 2023, an Irate mob attacked Buda at an abattoir, for allegedly making blasphemous comments against Prophet Muhammad.
Buda's closest business partners in the market had frantically made attempt to rescue him but were also injured by the extremists and are now receiving medical treatment.
