American actor of Nigerian descent Uzoamaka Nwanneka Aduba better known as Uzo Aduba, is expecting her first child with husband, Robert Sweeting. The 42 year old Emmy Award winning actress proudly displayed her burgeoning stomach while she walked the red carpet at the 2023 Tony Awards at the United Palace Theater in New York City on Sunday 11th June, 2023. Uzo Aduba and Robert Sweeting tied the knot in a secret ceremony which held in New York in 2020. She publicly shared photos from the private ceremony in 2021.
Uzo Aduba who was born in Massachusetts to immigrant Nigerian parents, gained wide recognition for her role as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019), for which she won multiple Emmy Awards. In April 2017, Aduba received the Point Courage Award from the Point Foundation for her support of the LGBT community. In June 2018, Aduba became Heifer International's first-ever celebrity ambassador to Africa. She saw Heifer's impact firsthand on 2016 and 2018 field visits to Uganda.
