Crossdresser and social media influencer Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky, has on shim's official social media platform, put up a post lamenting the discoloured state of teeth in the mouths of Lagos boys. The crossdresser stated that even though Lagos boys look so good, they never bother with oral hygiene, hence the prevalence of yellow teeth amongst them. Bobrisky further queried these Lagos boys by demanding to know if they were waiting for people to come do the brushing for them despite their overgrown "big boy" appearances. The crossdresser emphatically stated that shim was tired of having to deal with discoloured teeth on the streets of Lagos.

Bobrisky is well-known for shis presence and huge following on social media apps like Instagram, Tweeter and Snapchat. Shim also gained a reputation for being highly controversial on social media for not adhering to conservative Nigerian standards and for constantly airing "unpopular opinions". In 2021, Bobrisky publicly unveiled a new physical appearance after undergoing surgery to become more feminine. The crossdresser revealed to blogs that surgical processes had cost millions of naira.
