Nigerian radio personality, television host, vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur, actress and author, Toke Makinwa, has been harshly and mockingly criticized by Instagram Trolls following a photo she posted on the app. The media personality who posted a photo of herself wearing a skintight dress received negative comments as many wondered at the sudden displacement of her hips as well as her body structure. They emphatically urged Toke Makinwa's admirers to tell her the truth about her body and not encourage her to believe the lies from stanners referring to her body as beautiful. One of the trolls provided a list of women with certain physical structures prohibited from undergoing cosmetic surgery.

Toke Makinwa is vocal about undergoing surgery and cosmetic procedures like a Brazilian Butt Lift and a Liposuction to enhance her physical appearance. The media personality openly encourages women to carry out bodily modifications in order to look more beautiful and enhance their self esteem. Toke Makinwa has revealed in interviews and vlogs that she does not regret undergoing surgery to improve her figure and appearance. In her words, “Yes I worked on my body but my breast is real. I had a lip filler because I wanted to launch my lipstick brand but now I don't think it is necessary. “Also I enhanced my body after I got my fibroids removed. I did that because I wanted to feel better in clothes."
