Ass@ssination: senator Ajibola Basiru speaks on his alleged attempt to ass@ssinate Governor Adeleke at a Mosque (Video)

Amid the speculation that there was an attempt to @ssassinate the governor of Osun State, Isiaka Adeleke at a prayer ground in Osogbo, Osun State capital, the accused, former senator Ajibola Basiru has opened up on what transpired.

A statement issued by the governor's office claimed that an attempt was made at the governor's life yesterday.  Senator Ajibola Basiru is fingered as being at the centre of the commotion that played out. 

There were  reports of governor Adeleke leaving the prayer ground in anger over the disorganized seating arrangement as well as the commotion that came in consequence. 

While speaking to Channels tv via zoom, senator Ajibola Basiru explained that the allegation is false. According to him,he did not occupy any seat, space or position reserved for the governor in the mosque. He explained that he was accosted by a thug who is not a member of the governor's protocol to vacate his seat.

While answering further questions, senator Ajibola reiterated that he was not formerly and respectfully informed about the governor's presence at the mosque, the reason he resisted the orders of the political thug who accosted him.
