After I Kidnapped Myself To Collect 365k Ransom From My Uncle, The Unexpected Happened -- 19 Year Old Kano Teenager Reveals Shocking Turn Of Events

 A 19-year-old teenager identified as Nafiu Sulaiman, is currently in police net for allegedly “kidnapping himself” and collecting N365,000 ransom from his uncle in Kano state.

Sulaiman was said to be working with his uncle to manage his cement shop in Garindau village in Warawa LGA of the state before he had other plans.

While confirming Sulaiman's arrest, Kano State Commissioner of Police (CP), Muhammad Usaini Gumel, said the accused was arrested in the course of the investigation.

The Kano Police CP further explained that Sulaiman confessed to have kidnapped himself in order to extort his uncle.

Sulaiman was said to have confessed to organising his own kidnap just to make money from his uncle. He reportedly said he stayed in an uncompleted building for some days to perfect the act.

While explaining why he took the drastic action, Sulaiman said he needed some funds to buy clothes and other things but noted that the ransom money was stolen from him.

“I planned everything. I used another line to call my boss, who is also my uncle. I demanded a ransom and asked them to drop it somewhere. I stayed there all these long, and when I needed food, I came out to buy and go back.

“But I didn’t use even one per cent of the money. I spent only N20,000 and buried the money somewhere. When I got there I found the money was stolen.”
