Seven off-campus students of the University of Jos, Plateau State have been abducted by gunmen
The students were forcefully taken by 2.am in the early hours of Wednesday at about at a private hostel close to the former Nigerian School of Accountancy, along Bauchi Ring Road in Jos North Council Area.

The incident happened while they were studying for their ongoing second-semester examination.
According to an Eye witness identified as Moses James, who spoke to ait.live, the kidnappers stormed the hostel and broke into the room where the students were studying, held them hostage at gunpoint for close to thirty minutes before forcing them into a waiting vehicle, and later whisked them away.
While confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command DSP Alfred Alabo said a joint team of the Police, Special Taskforce Operation Safe Haven and the hunters have since gone after the abductors for possible rescue of the victims.
