Veteran Nollywood star Obinna Nwafor better known as Saint Obi, has reportedly passed away. According to unconfirmed reports, the 57 year old actor passed on since Sunday 7th May 2023 in Jos, Plateau state but the news was kept from the public by his relatives. Further unconfirmed reports state that the actor had been suffering a protracted but undisclosed ailment and had frequently visited the the teaching hospital in Jos.

Saint Obi was an actor, film producer and director known for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime and Last Party. The veteran actor obtained a degree in theatre arts from the University of Jos. Saint Obi ventured into acting in the year 1996, after taking part in a commercial for Peugeot on NTA. He starred in over 60 movies in the course of his career. In 2001, Saint Obi produced his first movie titled "Take Me to Maama", where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel and Enebeli Elebuwa.
