Author, media aide and controversial social media influencer Reno Omokri, has penned a prose on his official social media platform soliciting a ban on the Importation and sale of human hair extensions in Nigeria. Reno lamented that the importation of multimillion dollar worth of human is a waste of the country's reserves. He further stated the the importation and sale of human was needless because it makes Nigerian women look like "very bad copies" of European, Asian and Latin American women.
While decrying the "uselessness and needlessness" of human hair and how African women do not need extensions to look beautiful, Reno Omokri further wrote that the ban on the importation of these human hair extensions should be extended to the sale of bleaching creams. According to his statistics, bleaching creams are the major cause of skin cancer as well as kidney/liver diseases in Nigeria. He declared that a ban on the Importation of human hair extensions and bleaching creams can help the younger generation acquire a better self image.
