Nosimot Alalade, a 34-year-old woman, has been brought before an Abeokuta Magistrate Court in Isabo for allegedly pushing Silas Olaleye, a Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) employee, down from a ladder while Olaleye was on duty.
Ms Alalade, who lives at No. 5, Amadiya Road, Olomore area of Abeokuta, was summoned on Friday.
She is charged with three counts of assault, acting in a way that could disturb public order, and putting the life of the complainant in danger.
Olaide Rawlings, the prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the offenses on April 12 at around 1 p.m. in the Olomore area of Abeokuta. Mr. Rawlings said that the defendant assaulted the victim by pushing him from a ladder while he was performing his lawgul duty, resulting in a permanent injury to the victim's right leg.

In addition, the prosecutor stated that when the complainant and his team arrived at the defendant's residence, they asked for her bill, but she refused.
“The complainant was given instructions by his team leader to disconnect the defendant's light from the pole during the process.
She stated, "She (defendant), out of anger, pushed the ladder which the complainant was mounting when the complainant climbed the pole to disconnect the cable that carried light to the defendant's house."
According to Mr. Rawlings, the complainant broke his right leg open when he fell from the ladder.
She claimed that the defendant also acted in a way that put the complainant's life in danger and behaved in a way that was likely to disturb public order while performing a legal duty.
She claims that the offenses violate Laws of Ogun State, 2006, Sections 338, 343, 355 and 249 of the Criminal Code.
The defendant, on the other hand, denied the allegations.
After granting the defendant bail in the amount of N100,000 with one surety in the same amount, the magistrate, M.O. Osinbajo, postponed the case until April 28 for trial.
