Former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan and gospeller, Reno Omokri has explained why Jesus is not the name of the saviour of the whole world and should not be prayed on.
Omokri was reacting to one Utiemyione on his Facebook page who said ever since he started praying with the Yeshua name, his prayers has been fastly answered.
Utienyione had earlier written:
"I personally had an encounter just last year. In a revelation I saw our messiah and called him Jesus. Immediately, he shouted at me with a voice that sounded like many thunder. He said to me that His name isn't Jesus that His name is Yeshua Hamachiach. By virtue of that strong rebuke fear gripped me and I found myself on my knees apologizing for calling him Jesus all these years. Since last year I have been praying in the name of Yeshua Hamachiach and getting incredible results. It was after that revelation I then understood that our prayers had been answered all these while because of His mercies and because He knows we are ignorant of this truth. Then I remember the scriptures that says in the days of ignorance the Lord over looked but He commands everyone everywhere to repent. May God grant us understanding."
In response, Reno wrote:
"Dear Utienyione,
"Thank you for your feedback. I can't tell you how many times I have had breakthroughs by praying to God in Yeshua's Name. When I pray that way in public, some people even think I am calling an occult name. Meanwhile, the first rule of translation is that you don't translate a Name, much less transliterate it.
"But as the Turkish proverb goes, no matter how far you have gone down the wrong road, turn back.
"The name of our Lord and Saviour is not Jesus. And there are vested physical and spiritual forces who do not want you to know His real Name. And they are prepared to go to any lengths, in order to fulfil their mandate of hiding the truth from us.
"But to many people, it easier to insult those who teach these truths. You know our people. They will call you oversabi, sabinus, I Too Know. You can only teach what you know to be true. Insulters will still insult.
"Thank you again for sharing your dream with us and may God bless you.
