Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25th, 2023 election has reiterated his unwavering loyalty to Nigeria.
Peter Obi who spoke to the newsmen in Asaba after the Labour Party board meeting in Asaba, appealed to his supporters to remain calm in the face of provocation by those who do not wish Nigeria well. Emphasizing his love and loyalty to Nigeria, Peter Obi stated that he does not have dual citizenship; hence, does not pay allegiance to any other country other than Nigeria.
He added that should Nigeria be at war, he will return to Nigeria if he were not in the country. He explains that his sought for a new Nigeria via good leadership is unflinching.
Peter Obi's reiteration of his allegiance to Nigeria comes as Nigeria's president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is reported to have acquired Guinean Passport; hence, possessing dual citizenship.
