In a video gradually making the rounds on the internet, singer and songwriter David Adeleke better known as Davido was captured earnestly trying to avoid the attention of a male crossdresser. In the video, the singer yelled at the crossdresser not to"come near him" as the crossdresser moved towards him. Davido in a frantic voice kept urging the crossdresser not to touch him. The singer's companions tried to convince him that the crossdresser was a "babe" but he earnestly insisted that it was a man and kept shooing the strange looking fellow away.
Netizens have given mixed reactions to the video with some finding it hilarious and stating that the almighty OBO was scared of an ordinary crossdresser. Yet others frowned at the video and tagged Davido irrationally "homophobic". Many members of the LGBTQ community have lashed at the singer for his outburst and also labelled him unfairly discriminatory of queer people. They urged him to work on ridding himself of his "homophobic tendencies" as crossdressers have a right to approach celebrities of their choosing.
