Police Officer Shoots Trader Dead over #100 Bribe in Delta State

 The Delta police has arrested, paraded and detained a police officer named Ebri Ubi who shot and killed a young man identified as  Onyeka Emmanuel Ibeh over the officer's inability to collect a bribe of #100 at a stop and search checkpoint along Ugbolu-Ilah road Oshimili North, Delta state. Sister of the deceased, took to her Facebook page to narrate the manner in which her brother met his untimely death at the hands of a trigger-happy police officer on Wednesday 5th April, 2023.

Onyeka Emmanuel Ibeh's sister revealed that the police officer Ebri Ubi had shot her unarmed brother at point-blank range because he had no cash to give to the officer who demanded bribe. She further revealed that her brother's brutal murder had been witnessed by his heavily pregnant wife who had to watch as her husband's shattered skull and brain matter splattered all over her body. Until his death, 31 year old Onyeka Ibeh was a well-liked and respected phone dealer in the popular Ogbogonogo market located in Asaba.

Fellow traders and members of the community took to the streets to protest the brutal and unwarranted murder of the phone dealer. The Delta state police assures that the trigger-happy officer will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
