29 year old Tradezsha Trenay Bibbs,was sentenced Monday, April 3, after being convicted of felony murder for the death of 4-month-old Brielle Robinson on April 16, 2016. Tradezsha Trenay had physically abused her infant over her anger after she was jilted by her "baby daddy". Authorities were called to the Red Carpet Inn in Houston, Texas, on April 16, 2016 and Bibbs told officers that she heard her daughter crying, then picked her up by her arms and dropped her on the bed, which caused Robinson to fall to the floor. She further confessed that she then "continuously struck" the 4-month-old "in the face, chest, ribs, and legs until the child stopped crying." Additionally, the mother told police that she "started not to care”.
The County's District Attorney proved to the court that four month old Brielle's murder had been "a murder of rage" as her mother had been infuriated at being jilted. After autopsy revealed that Brielle died as a result of blunt-force trauma to the head and body, jurors sentenced Tradezsha Trenay Bibbs to life imprisonment after a week-long trial. Many jurors stated after the trial that the convicted woman had been "unremorseful and cold" about her terrible crime.
