A Twitter user with the handle @Gboye_Rave has called out "Lagos Girls" for lying about their sources of income. In his tweet, @Gboye_Rave strongly advised female entrepreneurs in Lagos to desist from claiming that profits from skills like microblading and lashes or Snapchat influencing, are responsible for an extravagant lifestyle that includes the purchase of exotic cars like a Mercedes or Range Rover. The tweeter user also rudely called out skincare vendors by stating that proceeds from selling their products cannot buy the huge houses they claim to buy in Lekki.

In response to @Gboye_Rave's tweet, another Tweeter user with the handle @chiamakababe dropped a strongly worded clapback as reply. She urged him to shut up and equally desist from talking down skills he's entirely ignorant of. She cited her lash technician as one of the entrepreneurs who makes over 4 million naira on a monthly average just from offering the skills in initial tweet dismissed as irrelevant. @chiamakababe added that she had witnessed on many occasions the teeming customers at her nail technician's business outlets.
