Argentina senior national football team captain, Lionel Messi has reportedly sent some words to Barcelona board ahead of his rumoured return to the club from Paris Saint Germain ( PSG).
Lionel Messi's contract at PSG will come to an end at the end of the current football season. He is heavily linked to a return to his boyhood club, Barca especially as he was not given due farewell while he left the club two years ago.
The world cup winner is also reported to be cherishing a return to Barca at the expense of some mouthwatering offers from Asian clubs. Unlike his counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi is contemplating choosing loyalty over money; hence, has decided to return to Barcelona. He however wishes a reunion with two Barca legends whose future at the club hangs on a thread.
Interestingly, he has urged the Barca board about his desire to play alongside with Sergio Busquets, the current Barcelona captain as well as Jordi Alba, a veteran left back at the club.
Lionel Messi with the two players won five Laliga with one champions league before his departure from the club in 2021. He desires a reunion with the two players amid their falling relevance at the club with the recruitment of younger players for their positions by the club.
